I was tasked with formatting an article by Maria Tsudon about the revolutionary (and very unique) Stefan Sagmeister. Using only the images and copy provided, my challenge was to create an eye-catching article layout with a focus on the typography. Pull-quotes were also included to draw further attention to specific parts of the article.

The hand-drawn pull-quotes and custom elements on the cover were all rendered digitally using Adobe Illustrator. Given Sagmeister incorporates a very hand-made-in-a-deliberate-way aesthetic to his work, I wanted this to flow on into my article layout. A clear focus was made on keeping colours to a minimum, to let the words and other visual aspects speak for themselves. This was formatted all in Adobe InDesign, with all the necessary specifications (colours, bleed etc.) for a print publication.
