Print Design: Fiesta De Verano
The Fiesta de Verano is a Latin American festival that happens yearly in Brisbane. As part of a unit focusing on Typography, I was tasked with creating a unique pamphlet for this event, paying careful attention to the text and formatting. Building on from our knowledge of different Typographic rules and principles, I wanted to push myself as much as possible for this design and create a unique but well-rounded pamphlet for the event.
I was heavily inspired by the bright colours and bold shapes typically seen in Latin American designs and cities. Most notably, I wanted to convey a sense of excitement to encourage people reading the pamphlet to want to attend.
With regards to the typography, I wanted the information to be clear and accessible, yet not too crowded on the pages. So, I decided to break up the blocks of text with fluid shapes and images. Overall, I was very pleased with the end result, and very much enjoyed working on a project with pre-press specifications.
